Position Summary
Radiotheranostics Program
We are seeking an Advanced Practice Provider (APP) to join a growing radiotheranostics program and help build a new radiopharmaceutical therapy clinic. This role offers a unique opportunity to work at the forefront of targeted radionuclide therapy in close collaboration with physician colleagues, referring providers, and a multidisciplinary care team.

Position Summary
This is a 0.75 FTE (30 hours per week) position hired at the rank of Clinical Instructor.
The APP will play a central role in the clinical care of patients undergoing radiopharmaceutical therapy and in supporting the department’s clinical research program. Key responsibilities include evaluating patients for treatment eligibility, managing patients throughout the course of therapy, monitoring for side effects, and participating in treatment timing and care planning decisions in partnership with supervising physicians.

Key Responsibilities
  • Evaluate new patients in the radiopharmaceutical therapy clinic and determine eligibility for treatment in collaboration with the supervising physician
  • Conduct follow up visits between therapies to assess treatment response, monitor side effects, and determine next steps in the therapeutic course
  • Review and interpret laboratory results to ensure patients meet treatment parameters
  • Monitor, assess, and manage therapy related toxicities and side effects
  • Ensure all required imaging studies are current, complete, and appropriately loaded into PACS
  • Coordinate care with physicians, nursing staff, technologists, and other members of the treatment team
  • Communicate effectively with referring physicians regarding patient eligibility, treatment plans, and ongoing care
  • Provide compassionate, patient centered care and education to patients and their families throughout the treatment process
  • Support clinical research studies as a Co-Investigator, assisting the Principal Investigator with tasks including verification of study eligibility, placing research orders in the electronic medical record (phlebotomy, imaging, etc.), assessing adverse events, placing IVs and administering contrast agents for research studies (as applicable within scope of practice), and monitoring participants for contrast reactions during scans

Minimum Education and Experience Requirements
  • Graduate of an accredited Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant program
  • Current (or eligible) state licensure and national certification
  • Strong clinical assessment and decision making skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Commitment to high quality, compassionate patient care
  • Ability to work effectively in a collaborative, multidisciplinary environment

Preferred Qualifications, Competencies, and Experience
  • Prior experience in oncology, nuclear medicine, or related specialty care
  • Basic knowledge of radiopharmaceutical therapies, specifically Lu-177 Pluvicto, is helpful but not required
  • Research experience, particularly in a clinical or academic setting, is helpful but not required
