Clinical Nurse Educator, Home Hospital

About the Role
Mass General Brigham Home Hospital is seeking a Clinical Nurse Educator to support the education and professional development of clinical staff across our growing Home Hospital program. This role will partner with nursing and clinical leadership to develop, coordinate, and deliver training and orientation programs for nurses and other clinical support staff.

The educator will play a key role in preparing staff to deliver safe, evidence-based care within the innovative Home Hospital model. This role supports a multidisciplinary team—including nurses, medical assistants, and other clinical support professionals—across multiple sites. The clinical educator also partners closely with paramedic and Home Care education teams to provide coordinated training across the Healthcare at Home program.

This position involves regular travel across the South and West region, including Newton-Wellesley Hospital, Brigham and Women’s Hospital, Brigham and Women’s Faulkner Hospital, Assembly Row in Somerville, and other Home Hospital locations.

Job Summary

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and revise nursing education curricula, courses, and learning materials based on evidence-based practices and industry standards.

  • Plan, deliver, and evaluate educational sessions, workshops, and courses for nursing and other healthcare professionals.

  • Conduct clinical competency assessments to evaluate the knowledge, skills, and performance of nursing staff.

  • Coordinate preceptorship and mentorship programs for novice nurses and students, ensuring a supportive and effective learning experience.

  • Assess the learning needs of nursing staff and develop or recommend continuing edcation programs to enhance their professional growth.

  • Maintain accurate records of educational programs, attendance, and learner outcomes.

  • Performs other duties as assigned Complies with all policies and standards

Qualifications

Education

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing – required
  • Master’s Degree in Nursing – preferred

Licenses & Certifications

  • Active Registered Nurse (RN) license – required
  • ACLS (AHA) – preferred
  • ACLS Instructor Certification – preferred
  • BLS Certification – preferred

Experience

  • 2–3 years of clinical nursing experience – required
  • 1–2 years of clinical education experience – preferred
  • 1–2 years of nursing leadership experience – preferred
