Clinical Nurse II - Hemodialysis (Per Diem, Day)

At NorthBay Health the Clinical Nurse (RN) - Hemodialysis has the responsibility, accountability, and the authority to deliver safe, effective, quality, excellent nursing care according to the philosophy and goals/objectives of the Department of Nursing. The RN, utilizing Jean Watson’s Theory of Caring Relationship Based Care, and NorthBay’s professional nursing practice model assesses, plans, implements and evaluates care for all patients assigned to his/her care. The RN makes determinations regarding the progress of the patient toward goals and utilizes a therapeutic professional relationship with the patient/family and interdisciplinary team to facilitate the promotion, maintenance, and restoration of health. Care is provided according to the specific physiologic, developmental and psychosocial needs of the patient. Supports the mission, vision, values and expectation of excellence of the organization.

Education:

  • Graduate from an accredited school of professional registered nursing.
  • BSN required by January 1, 2020, unless grandfathered as outlined in March 2014 letter.

Licensure:

  • Valid and current RN license by the State of California.
  • Current AHA or AHA equivalent BLS.
  • Professional Organization Membership preferred

Experience:

  • Minimum six month’s acute care experience required.
  • One-year acute care experience preferred.
  • Five years dialysis experience preferred.
  • Demonstrates competence including but not limited to: hemodialysis, sustained low-efficiency dialysis (SLED), peritoneal dialysis, dialysis access cannulation, and patient assessment.

Communication:

  • Proficient written, verbal, and electronic communication skills.

Compensation:

  • Hourly Salary Range Min $85.98 - Max $103.68(Offered hourly rate based on years of experience)
  • 15% per diem differential included in salary range

Compensation Structure

NorthBay Health uses a structured compensation framework. Staff-level positions use a step-based system (Steps 1–5) based on years of directly related experience, with Step 5 representing 20 or more years of experience in the role. Manager level and above positions are paid a fixed annual base salary and are eligible for a variable incentive compensation plan. Physician compensation is structured based on specialty and role requirements.

Remote Work Disclosure

NorthBay Health is primarily an onsite organization due to the nature of healthcare. Some roles may allow hybrid or remote work based on business needs.

Remote work is not supported in Washington, Ohio, Wyoming, North Dakota, Puerto Rico, the U.S. Virgin Islands, or outside of the United States.
