Primary Purpose of Organizational Unit
The UNC Adams School of Dentistry Office of Clinical Operations is responsible for overseeing patient care, providing quality assurance, maintaining infection control, administering regulatory compliance and preserving fiscal stability. The Office of Clinical Operations is an integral part of the School and their primary mission is to provide the highest quality education and training to students and to provide the highest quality dental treatment available for patients.

Position Summary
The Clinical Operations Coordinator position will maintain the faculty coverage schedule for the DDS Clinics, Comprehensive Oral Health Core Courses, the Graduate Prosthodontics and Periodontics Clinics, and the Dental Faculty Practice, working with the Predoctoral Program Directors, the Graduate Program Directors, the DFP Clinic Manager, and the Associate Dean, and other staff as needed. This position is responsible for coordinating all faculty to always ensure clinical coverage. This position will also manage assigned project teams on clinical operational issues.

Minimum Education and Experience Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in business administration or a related discipline; or an equivalent combination of training and experience. All degrees must be received from appropriately accredited institutions.

Management Preferences
Experience with Epic or other patient medical record applications.
Experience with Microsoft Excel, Teams, Word and PowerPoint.
Experience with Deputy or scheduling applications.
Experience with Tableau/Power BI or other Data Analytical applications.

Required Licenses/Certifications

Special Physical/Mental Requirements
Availability to manage phone, text, Teams and email communication with Faculty and Students starting at 6:00 am daily. This position must be on-site by 8:30 am daily.
