Clinical Pathologist

As a Clinical Pathologist, you will play a critical role in patient care by overseeing diagnostic testing, ensuring the highest standards of laboratory accuracy, and providing expert consultative services to our clinical and medical teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Laboratory Leadership: Oversee the daily operations, workflow, and safety standards of the laboratory department.
• Clinical Correlation: Interpret complex laboratory data, review peripheral blood smears/abnormal findings, and provide critical clinical correlations to attending physicians.
• Quality & Compliance: Ensure strict adherence to Quality Control (QC) and Quality Assurance (QA) protocols in full compliance with Qatar Ministry of Public Health (MOPH) regulations.
• Accreditation: Lead, maintain, and prepare the laboratory for local and international accreditation processes.
• Team Supervision: Supervise, mentor, and evaluate laboratory technologists and technical support staff.
• Policy Management: Review, update, and approve laboratory policies, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and technical manuals.

Requirements & Qualifications

• Education: MD or MBBS + Master’s Degree/PhD (or equivalent Western Board/Fellowship) in Clinical Pathology or Laboratory Medicine.
• Experience: Minimum 3–5 years of continuous post-specialization clinical experience in a hospital or medical laboratory setting.
• Licensing (Mandatory):
• Valid Qatar DHP (Department of Healthcare Professions) License as a Clinical Pathologist, OR a clear Dataflow report with immediate eligibility to license/transfer.
• Valid medical license from the country of current/most recent practice.
• Technical Skills: In-depth knowledge of laboratory automation, modern instrumentation, and Laboratory Information Systems (LIS).
• Communication: Exceptional leadership skills with fluency in English (Arabic language skills are a significant advantage).

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: QAR16,000.00 - QAR21,000.00 per month
