CLASSIFICATION MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

Bachelor's degree in in an appropriate area and two years of relevant experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.



JOB DESCRIPTION:

Administrative Responsibilities:

  • Provide program leadership, vision, and direction to achieve statewide impact.
  • Develop and manage budgets, staffing, contracts, and program reporting.
  • Supervise program staff, provide mentorship, and foster professional development.

Travel and program development:

  • Coordinate statewide diabetes screening and outreach activities in collaboration with UF faculty, state agencies, and community organizations.
  • Build and maintain strategic partnerships across academic, clinical, governmental, and community settings.
  • Direct the design, implementation, and evaluation of technology-enabled diabetes education and management initiatives.

Data management and research development:

  • Support development and oversight of diabetes tissue biobanking operations.
  • Collect, analyze, and report program outcomes for UF leadership, the Florida Legislature, and funding agencies.

EXPECTED SALARY:

$63,000 - $70,000 annually; commensurate within this range based on qualifications and experience



REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

Bachelor's degree in in an appropriate area and two years of relevant experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.



PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Master’s degree in nursing, public health, health administration, biomedical sciences, or a closely related field.
  • Demonstrated leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
  • PhD, Master of Nursing, Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP), or active nursing license (ARNP or equivalent).
  • Experience in diabetes prevention, management, or research.
  • Familiarity with continuous glucose monitoring (CGM), health technology applications, or artificial intelligence in healthcare.
  • Proven success in managing large-scale, multi-stakeholder initiatives and budgets.
  • Track record of partnership development and cross-sector collaboration.
