Job Description

To assist with gathering and reviewing business requirements, technical specifications, business process redesign and information workflow. Identify appropriate resources to map, create and document needed project specifications if business requirements, technical specification or workflow processes do not exist. To document details of project scope and objectives, works with appropriate HSIS leaders to define the role of each project team member in order to effectively define and coordinate the activities of the project team(s)\

Key Duties & Responsibilities

1. Leads project and other meetings including documentation of participants, next steps, and decisions made at the meeting. Manages activities of project team(s) including scheduling and facilitating team meetings.

2. Performs contract analysis and submit findings for review and approval.

3. Manages creation of long and short-term project plans, to include setting project milestones, target completion dates, and ensuring all deadlines are adhered to.

4. Serves as point of contact for teams when multiple units are assigned to the same project to ensure team actions remain in synergy.

5. Evaluates project schedule and target completion dates on the project as needed and recommends date adjustments to accommodate for change related to the project.

6. Communicates with executives or HSIS leadership to ensure the project is aligned with department goals.

7. Documents and monitors any and all risks associated with the project.

8. Updates project sponsor and team regarding project status and progress on a regular basis.

9. Along with project sponsors, identifies measurable benefits of proposed projects.

10. Convenes various standing or committee meetings as needed or as directed by supervisor.

11. May author or assist with the authoring of departmental or project related communication.

12. Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Information Systems or a related field and six (6) years of related experience required. Work experience may NOT substitute for education requirement. Project Management or Process certifications preferred (PMP, Agile, Six Sigma, etc..)
