Clinical Psychologist

Key Responsibilities

Clinical Duties

• Conduct comprehensive psychological assessments, including clinical interviews and standardized psychometric testing
• Diagnose mental health conditions based on DSM-5 criteria
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans
• Deliver evidence-based psychotherapy, including:
• Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT)
• Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT)
• Interpersonal Therapy (IPT)
• Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans accordingly
• Provide crisis intervention and risk assessments when required

Assessment & Testing

• Administer, score, and interpret IQ tests and psychological assessments (e.g., WAIS, WISC, personality tests)
• Prepare detailed psychological reports for clinical and/or medico-legal use
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams for integrated patient care

Collaboration & Documentation

• Work closely with psychiatrists, physicians, and allied health professionals
• Maintain accurate, confidential patient records in compliance with healthcare regulations
• Participate in case discussions, clinical meetings, and audits

Education & Development

• Provide psychoeducation to patients and families
• Stay updated with the latest developments in clinical psychology and therapeutic approaches
• Participate in training, workshops, and continuous professional development

Qualifications & Requirements

• Master’s or Doctorate degree in Clinical Psychology
• Valid Qatar license (QCHP/DHP) as a Clinical Psychologist
• Must be locally available in Qatar
• Minimum 3–5 years of clinical experience in a healthcare or hospital setting
