Clinical Quality Coordinator, RN (Part Time)

JOB SUMMARY:

The Clinical Quality Coordinator, RN functions under the direction of the Director of Client Solutions. The Clinical Quality Coordinator, RN participates in a variety of clinical quality activities including chart reviews, telephonic encounters, and claim reviews to contribute to the goals and objectives of the department. The position is required to work on-site at the Imaging Center located in Stockbridge, GA, and provide medical intervention under Radiologist supervision in the rare event of a patient reaction to administered contrast.

Essential Functions

  • Perform chart reviews to evaluate compliance with protocols and/or workflows.
  • Perform claims reviews to ensure quality codes are included.
  • Communicate with providers as needed for quality activities.
  • Communicate test results and other patient education in accordance with the treatment plan.
  • Perform patient assessments and health counseling telephonically (e.g. obesity and alcohol abuse focus).
  • Provide treatment according to protocol as needed for reactions to imaging medications.
  • Other duties as assigned.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Current, unrestricted Registered Nurse License in state of GA (or compact)
  • 2- 5 years clinical experience, preferably direct patient care
  • Experience performing clinical quality activities
  • Ability to work independently
  • Strong knowledge of Quality Measures (HEDIS)
  • Ability to multi-task
  • Ability to adapt to change
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Excellent interpersonal communication skills
  • Collaborative and able to contribute to a positive work environment
  • Experience with Outlook, MS Word, Excel and tableau
  • Experience with EHR systems

MINIMUM REQUIRED EDUCATION/TRAINING:

  • Associate’s or Bachelor's degree from an approved program; graduate of an accredited school of nursing required.
  • Must have a current BLS card from the American Heart Association
