$46,947.00 - $65,726.00 The clinical research assistant is expected to provide assistance in organizing and conducting a clinical trial under the direction of the professional clinical research team. The position is accountable for assisting in the timely and accurate conduct of research studies, being concerned primarily with the protection and care of the patient as a research subject, from initiation to completion of study. Activities include participating in the study start up and termination procedures, working with study participants in various study tasks including patient recruitment, screening for eligibility, scheduling, physical assessments and biospecimen collection and processing, as well as data collection and study completion activities.Essential Functions:
Clerical Responsibilities
Answer Telephones
Review patient schedule to check for accuracy and last-minute additions or cancellations and adjust subsequent study materials as needed.
Ensure providers have study materials (ICF, screening packets, etc.) for daily study patients
Update and manage study spreadsheets/database for each trial
Assemble patient charts for new patients
Obtain patient records from other medical offices and print relative notes and labs.
Print patient study labs and imaging reports, obtain review by research coordinator, and send to PI for signature
Upload imaging (CT, bone scan, MRI, PET CT) to study specific portals
Order supplies for the office (office supplies, dry ice, toner, etc.)
Maintain refrigerator/freezer/room temperature logs and notify coordinator of temperature excursions
Uploads regulatory documents to Veeva Vault or similar portal for electronic storage
Contact FedEx/UPS for pickups as necessary
Assists with Investigator Initiated Prospective research studies:
Reviews subject charts and notifies the investigators of potential subjects.
Enters data into study specific database.
Organizes the subject documents (consents, source collection worksheets, etc.) in binders.
Protects subject confidentiality by assuring compliance with highly regulated guidelines regarding confidentiality in storage, release of information and disposal.
Assists in preparing study records at closure for storage, either paper documents or electronic storage
Qualifications:
High School Diploma/G.E.D. is required. Associate's Degree preferred.
Two years’ experience in a health care setting preferred
