Position Highlights

Provide Telephone Interpersonal Counseling (TIP-C) intervention to research participants, manage provider symptom reports, and medical record screening or auditing as it pertains to the research.

Duties & Responsibilities
  • Provide Telephone Interpersonal Counseling intervention to cancer survivors enrolled in the research study per the research protocol,
    including communicating and scheduling participants for sessions, and documenting sessions appropriately in RedCap or otherwise.
  • Manage daily symptom summary reports for UACC oncology providers, including triaging the report to the correct provider and communicating any issues to the research team.
  • Review medical records when appropriate as it pertains to the study. This may include prescreening for eligibility or auditing for data quality.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Must be knowledgeable with RedCap for data collection as well as Cerner electronic medical records system.

Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent advanced learning attained through professional level experience required.
  • Minimum of 3 years of relevant work experience, or equivalent combination of education and work experience.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Bilingual (fluent) in Spanish and English
  • Masters prepared social worker or mental health counselor with experience in working with oncology patients and/or family members.

Notice of Availability of the Annual Security and Fire Safety Report
In compliance with the Jeanne Clery Campus Safety Act (Clery Act), each year the University of Arizona releases an Annual Security Report (ASR) for each of the University’s campuses. These reports disclose information including Clery crime statistics for the previous three calendar years and policies, procedures, and programs the University uses to keep students and employees safe, including how to report crimes or other emergencies and resources for crime victims. As a campus with residential housing facilities, the Main Campus ASR also includes a combined Annual Fire Safety report with information on fire statistics and fire safety systems, policies, and procedures.
