Role : Clinical Research Coordinator
Location: Birmingham, CA
The Health and Wellbeing Team is seeking a highly motivated Clinical Research Coordinator to support its clinical operations. This role involves working with a diverse team of stakeholders to plan and execute multiple levels of research and validate novel approaches. The ideal candidate will manage various aspects of research, including aligning internal teams (research, engineering, legal) and external partners (vendors, academic collaborators, IRBs, regulators) to achieve concrete research and product goals.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate clinical technology validation studies, leading the operational planning and day-to-day management of research execution.
- Manage subject recruitment and study goals, developing effective strategies for recruiting and retaining participants.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for research participants, vendors, and research leads.
- Coordinate studies from startup through close-out.
- Develop and manage data collection processes, and maintain research databases, trackers, and other relevant study documentation.
- Maintain research schedules, communicating study milestones and reporting to the research team.
- Assist the research team with Institutional Review Board (IRB) submissions and compliance management.
- Align the operational aspects of research with the needs of other internal stakeholders, including engineering, legal, and product requirements.
- Assist the research team with the assessment and implementation of new best practices to improve the efficiency of study setup and administration.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or higher in a field requiring significant human subjects research.
- 5+ years of experience in clinical research within academic and/or commercial settings, with demonstrated experience in the study lifecycle and clinical research ecosystem.
- Proven track record of building successful relationships with Contract Research Organizations (CROs) and a deep understanding of human subjects needs and clinical research in digital health.
- In-depth subject matter knowledge in study start-up, maintenance, and close-out, as well as human subjects enrollment, consenting, data collection, and data management.
- 5+ years of experience working with multidisciplinary stakeholders, such as research scientists, statisticians, product managers, and software engineers.
- Ability to travel at least 30% of the time.

Pay: $40.00 - $45.00 per hour
