Clinical Research Manager
The Center for Parents and Children (CPC) within the Department of Psychology at the University of Pittsburgh is seeking a Clinical Research Manager.
The CPC aims to bridge the gap between science and practice in the service of promoting positive outcomes for children and families, with a special emphasis on early childhood.
Reporting to the Administrative Officer, the Clinical Research Manager will oversee daily operational functions across research study administration, recruitment, and logistics. The position carries full supervisory responsibility for a team of staff, including hiring, work assignment and review, performance management, and HR administration.
A valid driver's license is required. Child protection clearances are required prior to the start of employment; offers of employment and start dates are contingent upon their receipt. HIPAA training will be provided upon hire.
Manages day-to-day responsibilities for staff in research study administration, recruitment, and logistics. Develops and implements operational plans and systems for recruitment, data collection, and meeting project goals and deliverables. Ensures study protocols are met and adhered to and facilitates an organizational system for accumulated study data forms and procedures.
Strong clinical skills, strong written and verbal communication skills, leadership skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work with a range of families and clinical issues. Must work collaboratively with other staff, as well as community and organizational partners, and treat others with courtesy and respect.
Individual in this position must be able to use Microsoft Suite (Word, Outlook, TEAMS, OneDrive, Excel), a telephone, must be able to make visits to families, and must be able to communicate verbally. Individual must have a valid driver's license and reliable access to a personal vehicle for the purpose of conducting visits.
Individual must be able to drive a car, travel on and off campus, and be able to lift up to 30 lbs for occasional basic needs good drop-offs. Assistance (both from other staff or in terms of equipment such as a cart) for the lifting of basic needs goods can be provided.
