Clinical RN/ Surgical Coordinator

Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and highly skilled clinical-based Registered Nurse (RN) to join our dynamic healthcare team. In this role, you will gather and document vitals and pertinent histories on patients, facilitate both in-person and tele-health visits on a bi-weekly basis, coordinate surgical procedures and schedules, manage the lifecycle of a patient's care, have the opportunity to work in procedures in our surgery center, and ensure seamless communication among multidisciplinary teams. Responsibilities At a Glance

  • Coordinate and lead in person OR tele-health visits and input physician orders on a bi-weekly basis
  • Maintain accurate medical documentation within electronic health record (EHR) systems and keep patients charts up to date
  • Facilitate communication between patients, families, healthcare teams, and physicians to ensure treatment plans are carried out
  • Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and support staff to develop individualized procedure plans
  • Create surgical scheduling based on visits
  • Check patients readiness for surgery/procedures
  • Conduct pre-operative phone calls
  • Manage patient care during the perioperative period, including monitoring vital signs, administering medications, and maintaining aseptic technique
  • Provide post-operative care instructions and follow-up assessments to promote recovery and address complications promptly
  • Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations and infection control protocols throughout all patient interactions

Requirements

  • Valid RN license with current state licensure required; additional certifications such as BLS (Basic Life Support) are essential
  • Strong knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and aseptic techniques
  • Familiarity with EMR/EHR systems
  • Ability to perform IV insertions, venipuncture, suturing, tube feeding management, and catheter care confidently
  • Excellent patient assessment skills
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Experience in cardiology is highly desirable
  • Interest/ experience in working in surgery is highly desirable

Pay: $30.00 - $35.00 per hour
