- Assist control desk staff by providing clinical-related information to patients
- Act as the patient’s advocate throughout OPD appointments, from initial consultation to diagnosis and subsequent treatment
- Complete required documentation and provide counseling, education, support, and advice to patients, families, and caregivers
- Support quality and service improvement initiatives to enhance patient care delivery
- Prepare patient files as required and book follow-up appointments in line with clinic and diagnostic availability
- Educate patients and respond to queries related to triage, appointment timelines, and clinical decisions
- Act as a liaison between doctors and patients for clinical information and clarifications
- Promote multidisciplinary team collaboration and involve appropriate healthcare professionals in patient pathways
- Counsel, educate, support, and advise patients and their families on treatment plans, care approaches, and lifestyle adaptations
- Lead and contribute to specialty clinical audits and develop action plans based on findings
- Provide direct clinical-information support to control desk staff
- Continuously review service quality and develop improvement plans using evidence-based practices
- Ensure appropriate clinic time allocation based on patient referrals
- Utilize nursing qualifications and experience to develop and improve patient pathways and overall patient experience
- Escalate care plans appropriately when required
