VisionFirst is a nonprofit eye bank dedicated to providing corneal tissue for transplant and advancing vision-saving research. As a Clinical Services Coordinator, you will use your clinical knowledge and medical record review skills to determine whether donors are eligible for eye donation.
This is a great opportunity for EMTs, ER technicians, paramedics, and other clinical professionals who are skilled in medical terminology, patient histories, and critical thinking.
What You’ll Do
· Review hospital medical records, lab results, and clinical information to determine donor eligibility
· Apply medical screening criteria and regulatory standards to donor cases
· Communicate with hospital staff, coroners/medical examiners, and funeral homes to obtain information
· Document eligibility decisions accurately in the electronic donor record system
· Collaborate with the clinical staff during the donation process
· Maintain confidentiality and regulatory compliance

Required:
Clinical patient care experience such as:
· Emergency Medical Technician (EMT)
· ER Technician / ED Tech
· Paramedic
· Certified Medical Assistant (CMA)
· Patient Care Technician (PCT)
· LPN or similar healthcare role
Minimum 2 years of healthcare or patient care experience
· Strong attention to detail and critical thinking skills
· Excellent written and verbal communication
· Comfortable reviewing medical records and clinical documentation
Preferred:
· Emergency department or pre-hospital experience
· Experience reviewing medical records
· Organ, tissue, or eye donation experience
