Serve as the primary point of contact and advocate for patients, guiding them through their care journey and ensuring seamless communication with their medical team. Key Responsibilities:
Coordinate and schedule IR procedures, collaborating closely with physicians, referring offices, and patients.- Review patient charts to ensure all required labs, imaging, and medical clearances are complete prior to procedures.
- Serve as the main patient contact, providing education, answering questions, and advocating for their care.
- Collaborate with nurses, technologists, and physicians to maintain efficient workflow within the department.
- Maintain accurate documentation and assist with department initiatives or quality improvement projects as needed.
Qualifications:
Associate or Bachelor’s degree in nursing preferred.- Current valid North Carolina nursing license or Multi-State/Compact required.
- Experience: three to five years of nursing experience, required. Two years of experience in care of targeted patient population; experience in a broad range of clinical situations or settings, preferred (Background in Radiology and/or scheduling, preferred).
