Granite Creek Health & Rehabilitation Center is looking for an experienced Staffing Coordinator to join our team!

Requirements:

  • 1+ years of experience as a Staffing Coordinator in a clinical environment
  • Experience with healthcare staffing applications like Covr

Compensation: $50,000 year with a bonus structure & benefits

Job Description:

  • Manages the daily, weekly, and monthly schedules of nursing staff.
  • Consults with nursing department supervisors concerning staffing and scheduling needs.
  • Adjusts schedules according to budgetary constraints, census fluctuations, call-ins, and pre-planned leaves of absence.
  • Responds to scheduling changes in a timely manner.
  • Keeps meticulous attendance records and assists with the progressive disciplinary process if staff members demonstrate excessive absences and/or tardies.
  • Contacts staff members by phone to communicate scheduling needs or changes.
  • Responds to employee calls regarding scheduling issues, and prepares written correspondence as necessary.
  • Communicates with Unit Managers and the Director of Nursing regarding floor orientation scheduling for newly hired employees in the nursing department.
  • Checks time clock punch records against master schedules and notes the appropriate changes.
  • Keeps and files daily schedule and lobby hours for 18 continuous months.
  • Maintains lobby hours to include PPD, projected and actual staffing hours for each shift.
  • Signs time correction forms for events such as missing meal periods or forgetting to clock in/out.
  • Maintains daily tardy and absenteeism calendars for employee performance appraisals, reporting to the Director of Nursing Services all issues.
  • Works with Human Resources and Director of Nursing Services when scheduling modified duty employees in accordance with work restrictions and facility policy.
  • Creates and upholds an atmosphere of warmth, patience, enthusiasm, and a calm and cheerful environment.
  • Arranges temporary staffing when necessary.
  • Utilizes computer software to prepare, change and update the master schedule.
