We are seeking a compassionate and experienced Clinical Supervisor to provide clinical services within our program at Glass City Behavioral Healthcare. In this vital role, you will foster a collaborative environment that promotes growth and excellence. Your expertise will directly impact individuals and families navigating complex mental health challenges. This role is responsible for delivering individual and group therapy, developing treatment plans, completing clinical documentation, and providing supervision oversight in accordance with state and accreditation standards.
Key Responsibilities:
· Oversees the performance of chemical dependency counselor’s, interns, and other mental health profession assessments to assure that client care needs are identified and incorporated in the treatment plans.
· Ensures proper staffing for all programs
· Collaborates with directors and coordinators of other services within GCBH (i.e. school supervisor) as it pertains to client care and ongoing services.
· Collaborates with referral sources and educates the community about services at GCBH.
· Oversees quality improvement activities including peer reviews and chart reviews.
· Oversees credential requirements ensuring all standards or practice are being met
· Conducts mental health assessments screening tools.
· Conducts psychotherapy or expressive groups as determined by level of licensure and assignment.
· Conducts individual therapy sessions.
· Assumes responsibility associated with case management of clients on his/her case load as needed.
· Documents all interactions with clients in the clients’ individual file.
· Conducts weekly/biweekly clinical team meetings with all supervisors at designated locations including employees and interns.
· Appropriately documents all supervision sessions.
· Reviews all clinical documentation of supervisors including assessments, progress notes, and all other relevant clinical documentation.
· Meets with intern’s school supervisors to provide updates on intern’s progress.
Qualifications:
· Master’s degree in counseling, social work, psychology or another relevant field.
· Active LISW license in the state of Ohio (required)
· Three years of experience in working with adults or any combination of education and experience.
· Clinical theory and specific techniques of intervention.
· Supervisory skills and methods including multicultural issues.
· Knowledge of community resources and the ability to employ knowledge in a clinically sound discharge plan for all client groups.
· Ability to organize a complex workload so that all pertinent issues are addressed in a timely fashion and documented when necessary, including basic computer skills
· Knowledge of various schools of individual therapy and the ability to use clinical knowledge to intervene therapeutically with difficult clients.
· Ability to establish good rapport and demonstrate a positive public relations image in working with the public, clients, families, significant others, and other staff
· Ability to communicate in a clear and concise manner both verbally and in writing.
· Ability to interact effectively with clients in an empathic and professional manner.
