Job Overview

Hospice & Palliative Care, Inc is seeking a compassionate and highly organised Clinical Support Specialist to join our dedicated team. This is a remote position, available on either a full-time or part-time basis, for candidates based in United States. Since 1977, our organisation has been committed to providing exceptional end-of-life care, helping patients from newborns to over 100 years old to live their final days with comfort and dignity. The successful candidate will play a vital role in supporting our clinical staff, ensuring the seamless delivery of care to our patients and their families. This position offers a competitive hourly rate of $28 - $48 USD per hour, dependent on experience.

Responsibilities

As a Clinical Support Specialist, you will be responsible for a range of administrative and support tasks that are crucial to our operations. Your primary duties will include:
* Coordinating patient care schedules and appointments for our clinical team, including nurses and care assistants.
* Maintaining accurate and confidential patient records within our electronic health record (EHR) system.
* Serving as a professional and empathetic first point of contact for patients, families, and external healthcare providers.
* Providing comprehensive administrative support to the clinical team to ensure efficient workflow.
* Assisting with the management and ordering of medical supplies and equipment as required.
* Handling incoming communications and directing enquiries to the appropriate staff members.
* Ensuring all tasks are completed in compliance with healthcare regulations and internal policies.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will be a detail-oriented professional with a genuine passion for patient care. Key qualifications include:
* Proven experience in an administrative role within a healthcare or clinical setting.
* Excellent organisational, time-management, and multitasking abilities.
* A strong understanding of medical terminology and the importance of patient confidentiality.
* Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact with sensitivity and compassion.
* Proficiency with office software and experience using electronic health record (EHR) systems.
* The ability to work independently and effectively in a remote environment.
* Experience within a hospice or palliative care environment is highly desirable but not essential.
