Hiring Range for Clinician I: $71,760 to $95,693.87

Hiring Range for Clinician II: $76,793.60 to $102,391.47


Summary of Job Responsibilities:

The Southcentral Foundation (SCF) is actively seeking clinicians to become an integral part of a growing continuum of behavioral health care services. This posting is for the 16 bed adult crisis residential, high intensity program. The Southcentral Foundation (SCF) Clinician is responsible for providing clinical interventions tailored to the customer-owner needs and prepare them for participation in learning circles.

This position has two (2) levels designed to provide progressively more responsible and independent work experiences. Progression between job levels is based on the demonstrated ability to successfully handle more progressively responsible assignments.

Responsibilities include multidisciplinary team-based care, completing biopsychosocial assessments, group facilitation, familiarity with the involuntary commitment process, de-escalation and crisis resolution, engagement in milieu, brief therapeutic support and intervention, care coordination, and understanding of social drivers of health and health related social needs.

All employees for this position within the Crisis Residential program will be expected to successfully complete Crisis Prevention Institute (CPI) Nonviolent Crisis Intervention with Advanced Physical Skills training upon hire.


Qualifications:

SCF programs are established to serve a primary population comprised of Alaska Native people who are affiliated with Cook Inlet Region, Inc. (CIRI) and Alaska Native and American Indian people within SCF’s geographical service area. Employees should have a thorough understanding of the cultures and the needs of this population. Such knowledge is critical to ensure the achievement of SCF’s vision of a Native Community that enjoys physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual wellness, and mission of working together with the Native Community to achieve wellness through health and related services:

1. Master’s degree in behavioral health field including Counseling, Psychology or Social Work; OR PhD/PsyD in Clinical or Counseling Psychology.

2. Obtain Alaska Clinical Licensure in designated field within four (4) years of hire.

Additional Qualifications for Crisis Residential:

1. One (1) year of supervised clinical work experience for Master’s level Behavioral Health; OR one (1) years of post-graduate clinical experience for PhD or PsyD level.

Additional Qualifications for Clinician II:

Meets all requirements of Clinician I in addition to the following:

1. Two (2) years of supervised clinical work experience for Master’s level Behavioral Health; OR two (2) years of post-graduate clinical experience for PhD or PsyD level; OR demonstrated proficiency as a Clinician I at SCF.

2. Current Alaska Clinical Licensure in designated field.
