Cloud Platform Engineering Lead

Role Purpose:

The Head of Cloud Engineering will lead the design, implementation, and operations of the organization’s cloud platforms across multi-cloud environments (primarily GCP, AWS, Azure and OCI). This role is responsible for establishing the cloud engineering strategy, building high-performing engineering teams, and ensuring that cloud infrastructure is scalable, secure, resilient, and aligned with enterprise architecture and business objectives.

The role requires strong leadership in cloud platforms, automation, DevOps practices, and cloud-native technologies, with a focus on delivering reliable and cost-optimized cloud services across the organization.

Key Accountabilities:

1-Lead the cloud engineering function:

Lead the cloud engineering function, defining standards, architecture principles, and operational practices for cloud platforms.

2-Design and oversee scalable, secure, and resilient cloud:

Design and oversee scalable, secure, and resilient cloud infrastructure across hybrid and multi-cloud environments

3-Establish and drive adoption of Infrastructure as Code (IaC):

Establish and drive adoption of Infrastructure as Code (IaC) practices using Terraform, Ansible, or similar tools.

4-Develop and implement CI/CD frameworks:

Develop and implement CI/CD frameworks to enable automated infrastructure deployment and application delivery.

5-Ensure governance frameworks, and regulatory requirements:

Ensure cloud environments comply with enterprise security policies, governance frameworks, and regulatory requirements.

6-High-performing cloud engineering team:

Build and manage a high-performing cloud engineering team, including architects and engineers.

• Strong expertise in GCP, OCI, AWS, or Azure cloud platforms.

• Infrastructure-as-Code tools such as Terraform or Ansible.

• Experience with CI/CD tools (GitHub Actions, Jenkins, Cloud Build).

• Deep understanding of network architecture, VPC design, and cloud security.

• Experience with containerization and Kubernetes platforms.

• Knowledge of monitoring and observability tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, or Stack driver.

Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field.
