Cloud Solution Architect, GISACC

Responsibilities

• Design and implement scalable, highly available, and fault-tolerant cloud architectures on GCP.

• Develop and maintain infrastructure as code (IaC) using tools like Terraform.

• Select and implement appropriate GCP services to meet business requirements.

• Implement Least Privilege Access security principals for access control

• Implement robust monitoring, logging, and alerting solutions using services like Cloud Logging, Alerts, and other relevant tools.

• Perform cost analysis and optimization of cloud resources, identifying and implementing cost-saving measures.

• Collaborate with development teams to ensure solutions align with architectural best practices and business goals.

• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to other team members on GCP best practices and cloud technologies.

• Contribute to the development and maintenance of cloud security policies and procedures.

• Stay up-to-date with the latest GCP services, features, and best practices.

• Document and diagram architectural solutions and infrastructure designs.

• Participate in troubleshooting and resolving cloud infrastructure issues.
  

  Education/Training
  

  • BSc degree in computer engineering, computer science or any similar technical field of study.
    

  Professional Experience

  • From 7 to 10 years of relevant experience.
    

  Key Competences (Transversal/Professional)
  

  • Proficiency in GCP cloud-based architecture

  • Perform proper impact analysis on strategic decisions that can impact system’s cost, scalability, performance

  • Good knowledge in Agile Scrum

  • The ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders and collaborate with cross-functional teams.

  • Analyzing complex challenges and delivering effective, scalable solutions.

  • Understanding business processes and goals to align technical solutions with organizational objectives.

  • Guiding teams and projects, making critical decisions, and mentoring others in cloud best practices.

  • Good Troubleshooting and debugging skills

  • Good Client management skills and organizational skills

  • Staying updated with the latest cloud trends and technologies and implementing innovative solutions.
    

  Languages
  

  • Excellent command of English language is a must (Written and Verbal)

  Technical Skills

  • 5+ years of experience as a Cloud Solutions Architect or similar role, with a strong focus on GCP.

  • Deep understanding of GCP core services

    • Compute services e.g. Cloud Run, Cloud Functions, VM Instances, …

    • Task management e.g. Cloud Tasks

    • Data management solutions e.g. Firestore, BigQuery, CloudSQL, Cloud Storage

    • Monitoring solutions e.g. Cloud Logging, Dashboards, Alerts

    • IAM, VPC, Auto Scaling Solutions

  • Proficiency in infrastructure as code (IaC) using Terraform.

  • Experience with containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).

  • Strong knowledge of cloud security best practices and implementation.

  • Experience implementing and managing monitoring and logging solutions.

  • Proven ability to perform cost analysis and optimization of cloud resources.

  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.

  • GCP Certifications (Professional Cloud Architect, Professional Cloud Developer) highly preferred.
