Club Suites Supervisor - University of Nebraska (635377)

Note: This is a direct hire role with Aramark, a leading food service employer, at University of Nebraska Athletics.

The Premium Suites Supervisor is charged with setting the bar high and keeping it there. You are responsible for overseeing, directing, and assisting employees serve our premium guests with fantastic customer service and a high attention to detail.

Job Responsibilities

  • Assist Suites Premium Manager and Lead Suites Supervisor in directing daily operations of the Suites Department
  • Maintains food production that ensures all food items are served per menu specifications in a safe and appropriate manner following Aramark policies and procedures
  • Ensure that food items are stored in a safe, organized, and hazard-free environment
  • Maintain all serving schedules; ensuring all ordered food makes it to the suites at its scheduled time
  • Maintain a sanitary department following health and safety codes and regulations
  • May prepare orders as needed to ensure accurate production for location
  • Supervise and evaluate employees; counsel; promote employee growth, efficiency, morale, and teamwork
  • Train/mentor other food service workers
  • Ensure all food safety/temperature logs are completed with appropriate corrective action, as necessary
  • Perform other duties as requested by the Premium Director or Suites Catering Manager whenever his/her skill and/or experience would be vital to initiate, coordinate, or complete any given program
  • Must fill in for absent employees at location, as necessary
  • Maintain knowledge of daily catering events and confirm they are prepared and delivered on time
  • Maintain communication with staff (including office staff, e-mail, phone calls, inter-office mail, etc)
  • Responsible for ‘closing down’ each event
  • Ensure compliance with safety policies, OSHA requirements, SDS standards, and emergency procedures
  • Use all required safety equipment and personal protective equipment (PPE) and annotate when equipment is not operable
  • Take appropriate measures to ensure the security of client and company assets
  • Interact with clients, employees, vendors, customers, and guests about business-related activities and attend meetings, as required
  • Work shifts that are 6 – 10 hours in length

Qualifications

  • 21 years of age or older (Required)
  • Ability to lift up to 25 lbs., frequent lifting and/or carrying objects weighing up to 25 lbs. (Required)
  • Previous supervisory experience in a related field or function (Preferred)
  • TEAM/ TiPS Certification (Required) – will be trained and certified upon hire (as needed)
  • ServSafe or Food Safety Certification equivalent (Required) – will be trained and certified upon hire (as needed)
  • Ability to multi-task
  • Ability to perform cash handling duties
  • Ability to perform administrative duties
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills (Preferred)
  • Basic reading, writing and math skills
  • Basic computer skills (Preferred)

This role will have physical demands including, but not limited to, lifting, bending, pushing, pulling, and/or extended walking and standing. This role may also require uniforms and/or usage of PPE.
