Cluster Director of Marketing & Communication-Six Senses Southern Dunes, The Red Sea

Operational Ownership

In this role, I will manage the efficient operation of my department to provide exceptional products and

services within Six Senses brand operating standards and budget.

I will work strategically with the Cluster Director of Sales & Marketing to develop cohesive and productive goals

for my department and establish procedures/guidelines to achieve them. I will maintain an overall

consistency of the Company’s vision, quality/standards and develop concepts consistent with brand

identity.

My scope of work includes:

  • Possesses comprehensive knowledge and skill in all aspects of marketing functions.
  • Develop and execute marketing and multi-channel communication plans, calendars, and

programs in partnership with the Sale, PR, Digital, E-Commerce, and RM Teams to ensure

profitable growth.

  • Research, analyze and monitor financial, technological, and demographic factors so that market

opportunities may be capitalized on.

  • Budget and allocate resources for communication programs that align with market research

findings.

  • Plan and oversee the hotel’s advertising and promotion activities, including all marketing

mediums e.g. Print, electronic, direct mail, for all areas (F&B, Rooms, Catering, Clubs, and Spa’s)

of the properties.

  • Media negotiations/buy, planning, and creative development.

Secure partnership, sponsorship, contesting, and promotional opportunities.

  • Analyze key metrics reports to align with strategies.
  • Implement signature events and partnership activations with operational teams.
  • Promotional materials/collateral/digital assets. Manage the creative, production, and

inventories of materials for marketing, sales, in-house and third parties as required.

  • Manage relationships with vendors.
  • Manage creativity ensuring adherence to brand standards.
  • Meet deadlines and budgets.
  • Coordinate with in-house departments, including restaurants and bars, in the development of

marketing promotional plans, content, collateral, and calendars to support KPIs.

  • Partner with Digital and E-Commerce Cluster leaders to create a unique yet aligned social media

voice for the hotel, that corresponds with the broader marketing positioning.

  • Collaborate with Digital and E-Commerce at Home Office to market packages, promotions, and

brand campaigns through online channels.

  • Assist with copywriting, editing, and crafting of messaging for online content.
  • Assist Sales and Catering in determining the ROI of initiatives and business decisions to further

optimize profit.

  • Reporting, Marketing Plans, and Budgets & generate statistical reports on marketing campaign

performance.

  • Develop the annual Marketing Plan and Budget with the DOSM and GM.
  • Manage the marketing budget to ensure optimal execution.
  • Keep abreast of industry trends and practices and update knowledge and skills to improve the

product and service offering.

  • Processes will be constantly assessed and reviewed to remain relevant, innovative and in

keeping with Six Senses wellness and sustainability practices.

  • Create and manage services, products and rates to remain relevant and in keeping with Six

Senses wellness and sustainability practices.

  • Lead a team of engaged and experienced hosts to provide the Six Senses exceptional standards

of operation and service.

  • Have a thorough knowledge of all facilities and services offered by the property including type

of rooms available as well as their location and layout, selling status, rates, and benefits of all

packages plans, credit policy of the hotel and reservation coding.

  • Prepare public relations budget with director of sales and marketing and manage in pursuance

of public relations campaign.

  • Create and executive innovative public relations and publicity programs that will increase

revenue and awareness, creating a positive perception of the hotel, its spa, restaurants, services,

hosts.

  • Ensure programs address specific needs as outlined in the marketing plan and capitalize on

unexpected opportunities as they arise.

  • Ensure that all resort promotions are in keeping with Six Senses brand image and reflect the

highest level of professionalism in content and presentation.

  • Responsible for directing and assisting the general manager with all crisis communications as it

pertains to the media and external/internal guest during any hotel emergency or safety

situation.

  • Serve as a spokesperson for the media. Provide timely and accurate responses when queried.
  • Stay abreast of news; launch proactive communications plan internally and share externally.
  • Maintain professional relationships with media and gain cooperation and respect to earn a

reputation as a source of reliable, newsworthy information.

  • Act as an advisory to management by tracking public attitudes and making general manager

aware of the possible consequences of prospective decisions.

  • Use technology and manage social media platforms effectively to communicate and influence

throughout the organization.
