Position Summary

Level: Consultant or equivalent

As an experienced Consultant at Deloitte Consulting, you will be responsible for individually delivering high quality work products within due timelines. Need-basis you will be mentoring and/or directing junior team members/liaising with onsite/offshore teams to understand the functional requirements.

Work you’ll do:

  • Architect, build, and maintain scalable Nex.js + React applications, selecting appropriate patterns for App Router/Pages Router, Server Components, SSRSSG/ISR, caching, and deployments.
  • Own front-end standards: component architecture, design system integration, accessibility, performance, and secure coding best practices.
  • Define and roll out GenAI-assisted workflows (e.g. GitHub Copilot, AI Test assistants, GenAI APIs) for coding, reviews, testing, and documentations – ensuring human verification and reproducible engineering outcome.
  • Lead quality strategy: unit/integration testing, end-to-end (E2E) testing, CI quality gates, and regressions prevention.
  • Establish Responsible AI guardrails: secure prompt practices, and “why not to use AI for” guidelines.
  • Mentor and upskill team members; run enablement sessions, create playbooks, and coach through code reviews. And be the role model by using GenAI and traditional front-end technologies.
  • Improve continuous integration/continuous delivery (CI/CD) pipelines, leveraging AI where beneficial.
  • Oversee advanced version control strategies and enforce rigorous code quality standards.
  • Drive production readiness: monitoring/alerting collaboration, error tracking, performance monitoring, and incident response participation for front-end services.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to translate requirements into delivery plans; provide estimation, sequencing, risk/issue management, and clear technical communication through demos and written updated. And integrate GenAI advances into business and technical processes.

As a multidisciplinary group of strategists, designers, engineers, and operations specialists, we deliver end-to-end solutions—from initial concept and agile development to ongoing digital operations—enabling clients to experiment, iterate, and scale digital initiatives with confidence and agility. We support clients across domains such as strategy, commerce, marketing, sales, and service, helping them realize their digital ambitions through flexible, scalable teams. Our expertise spans the full digital lifecycle, including customer research, experience design, platform development, content production, and marketing automation. By bridging the gap between strategy and execution, we empower organizations to achieve measurable outcomes and deliver exceptional customer experiences in an ever-evolving digital landscape.

Qualifications

Must Have Skills/Project Experience/Certifications:

  • 6–10 years of front-end experience, including deep hands-on delivery and expertise in React and Next.js.
  • Bachelor’s or master’s in computer science, Engineering, or equivalent experience.
  • Strong proficiency in TypeScript, modern JavaScript (ES6+), HTML, and CSS; experience with component libraries/design systems.
  • Demonstrated, evidence of improved outcomes (quality, speed, maintainability) with experience integrating GenAI tools into day-to-day development (mandatory), and an understanding of risks/controls.
  • Advanced experience with modern CI/CD pipelines, automated testing strategies, and Git workflows.
  • Proven mentoring/technical leadership experience (formal or informal).
  • Strong stakeholder communication skills (requirements clarification, trade-offs, executive-ready updates).
  • Contributions to AI/open-source projects or developer community.
  • Experience in prompt engineering or developing with GenAI APIs.
  • Strong grasp of web performance and optimization techniques.
  • Knowledge of front-end security fundamentals and secure API integration patterns.

Good to Have Skills/Project Experience/Certifications:

  • Next.js App Router, Server Components, SSR/SSG/ISR optimization experience.
  • API/auth experience (OAuth/OIDC, JWT, session management) and secure front-end practices (OWSAP Basics)
  • Observability experience (error tracking, logging, performance monitoring).
  • Participation in AI-assisted development pilots/trainings.
