CMM Technician will be responsible for properly loading parts on CMM for inspection. Load and execute proper inspection program. Complete inspection documentation and maintaining records as required. Sorting and reworking components as required.
Duties/Responsibilities:

Perform accurate mechanical, physical and visual inspection of components using various inspection measuring equipment and gages

Ensure all parts and components have been tested and measured within specifications/tolerances; initiate Non-Conformance reports as required. Communicate with supervisors and other staff to resolve inspection questions.

Programming and operation of CMM equipment with minimal supervision

Accurately document the results of the inspections and testing on the computer in various programs

Read and interpret specifications and blue prints
-
Report any product defects immediately to the supervisor

Maintain calibration, first article, internal auditing and training programs

Support production and engineering departments
-
Comply with all company procedures and policies.

Support daily production with measurements and CMM run needs

Development of new CMM programs and optimization of existing programs
-
Development and Execution of Measurement and Testing Routines
-
Ballooning of prints and drawings
-
Collection, Interpretation, and Reporting of Data Related to Dimensional Layouts, Gage R&R Studies, and Capability Studies

Direct Communication with internal Customers Regarding Measurement Results
-
Direct Communication with Vendors Regarding Equipment Calibration and Repair
-
Assist in Troubleshooting Production Issues and Disposition of Product
Requirements: (Work Experience, Education, Certifications, Licenses)

High School Diploma or GED from an accredited institution is required
-
Experience operating a CMM (Coordinate Measurement Machine) would be a plus
-
Minimum three years Quality Control experience is preferred

Basic understanding of GD&T and blue print reading

Basic understanding of machining, tools and terminology
-
Self-starter and requires minimal supervision
-
Ability to use basic hand measurement tools (calipers, micrometers, gauge pins, etc.) required

Strong organization, teamwork, and time management skills

Basic computer skills

Good communication skills

Ability to follow written and verbal instructions

Advanced Math Skills

Must be a Highly Motivated, Detail Oriented Individual
