CMS Web Developer

About the Role

We are looking for a skilled CMS Web Developer with strong experience in WordPress, Shopify, and Wix. The ideal candidate understands how these platforms work under the hood, can build custom layouts, optimize performance, and deliver pixel-perfect front-end experiences. This role requires someone who can translate designs into responsive, high-quality websites and troubleshoot issues across modern browsers and devices.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, customize, and maintain websites using WordPress, Shopify, and Wix.
• Convert Figma/Adobe XD designs into responsive, mobile-optimized front-end layouts.
• Build custom themes, templates, sections, and reusable components.
• Implement and modify plugins/apps, and integrate third-party APIs when required.
• Perform website speed optimization, SEO best practices, and performance improvements.
• Troubleshoot layout issues, theme conflicts, plugin errors, and cross-browser bugs.
• Maintain content structures such as posts, collections, menus, pages, taxonomies, and product catalogs.
• Collaborate with designers, content teams, and backend developers.
• Ensure clean, documented code following industry best practices.
• Manage deployments, staging environments, and updates safely.

Required Skills & Experience

• 2–4+ years of experience working with CMS platforms (WordPress, Shopify, Wix).
• Strong command of HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, jQuery, and responsive UI development.
• Experience with WordPress theme development, custom post types, and Elementor/other builders.
• Experience with Shopify theme customization (Liquid), metafields, and Shopify apps.
• Proficiency in Wix Editor/X / Velo for custom logic and dynamic content.
• Good understanding of SEO fundamentals, site architecture, and performance optimization.
• Ability to work with Git, staging workflows, and version control.
• Strong debugging and problem-solving skills.
• Solid understanding of UI/UX best practices and attention to detail.
• Nice-to-Have Skills
• Experience with PHP for WordPress customizations.
• Knowledge of Liquid for advanced Shopify development.
• Familiarity with React/Vue is a plus.
• Experience integrating payment gateways, booking tools, or custom API endpoints.
• Understanding of headless CMS setups.
