Core Responsibilities

• Machine Operation & Setup: Set up, operate, and monitor the CNC Fiber Laser Cutting Machine for precise cutting of various sheet metals (primarily Stainless Steel, Mild Steel, and Aluminum).
• Program Management: Load, adjust, and verify cutting programs (G-code) from the design department, ensuring files are accurate and error-free before execution.
• Nesting & Optimization: Efficiently nest components using specialized software principles to maximize material yield and significantly reduce scrap metal waste.
• Parameter Control: Select and input the correct cutting parameters (laser power, speed, gas mixture, nozzle type) specific to the material type and thickness being processed.
• Quality Assurance: Conduct stringent in-process quality checks on cut parts using measuring instruments (calipers, protractors) to confirm dimensional accuracy and superior edge finish.
• Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance tasks, including cleaning lenses, checking gas lines, changing nozzles, and logging daily machine performance.
• Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve minor operational issues or error codes related to the CNC controller or the fiber delivery system.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Experience: Minimum 3 years of proven hands-on experience as an operator for an industrial Fiber Laser Cutting Machine.
• Technical Knowledge: Proficiency in reading and accurately interpreting complex engineering drawings and specifications.
• Software/Controllers: Familiarity with CNC controllers specific to laser systems (e.g., CypCut, Fanuc, etc.) and a good understanding of nesting procedures.
• Material Expertise: Comprehensive knowledge of cutting properties, gas usage, and limitations when processing Stainless Steel, Mild Steel, and Aluminum of various gauges (thicknesses).
• Safety First: Strong commitment to adherence to all workshop safety procedures and the use of required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
