CNC Laser Cutting Machine Operator

A CNC Laser Cutting Machine Operator is responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining CNC laser cutting machines to produce metal or other material components according to engineering drawings, specifications, and production requirements. The operator ensures accuracy, quality, and safety throughout the manufacturing process.

Key Responsibilities:

• Set up and operate CNC laser cutting machines.
• Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and work orders.
• Load raw materials onto the machine and ensure proper alignment.
• Input, edit, and monitor CNC programs for cutting operations.
• Adjust machine settings such as speed, power, and cutting parameters.
• Inspect finished parts using measuring tools to ensure dimensional accuracy and quality standards.
• Perform routine machine maintenance and cleaning.
• Troubleshoot machine issues and report major problems to maintenance personnel.
• Monitor production output and maintain production records.
• Follow workplace safety procedures and use personal protective equipment (PPE).
• Minimize material waste and optimize machine efficiency.

Requirements:

• Experience operating CNC laser cutting machines.
• Knowledge of CNC programming and machine controls.
• Ability to read technical drawings and fabrication plans.
• Familiarity with measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges.
• Understanding of different metal materials and cutting processes.
• Strong attention to detail and quality control.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• High school diploma, technical certificate, or equivalent experience preferred.
