Your expertise will ensure that production runs smoothly, efficiently, and to the highest quality standards. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work with advanced manufacturing equipment in a dynamic factory environment, contributing directly to the creation of high-quality products.
Duties
- Set up CNC machines such as CNC milling machines, CNC lathes, and CNC machining centers according to blueprints and technical specifications.
- Program CNC equipment using CAD (Computer-Aided Design), CAM (Computer-Aided Manufacturing), and CNC programming techniques to optimize machining processes.
- Read and interpret detailed blueprints, technical drawings, GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing) specifications, and material requirements to ensure precise fabrication.
- Operate auxiliary manufacturing equipment including stamping presses, press brake machines, fabricators, and fabrication tools.
- Conduct routine inspections using precision measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, and other quality control tools to verify dimensions and tolerances.
- Perform regular maintenance on CNC machinery and troubleshoot issues promptly to minimize downtime.
- Handle materials safely within the factory setting, including materials handling and packaging for final products or components.
- Maintain accurate documentation of production activities, machine settings, and quality checks for compliance and continuous improvement.
Requirements
- Proven experience operating CNC machinery such as CNC milling machines, CNC lathes, or similar equipment in a manufacturing facility.
- Strong knowledge of CNC programming languages and software including Fanuc controls, CAM programming software, SolidWorks or CAD for design interpretation.
- Ability to read blueprints and technical drawings accurately; familiarity with GD&T standards is essential.
- Mechanical aptitude with understanding of tooling, fabrication processes, welding techniques, and materials handling.
- Experience with programmable logic controllers (PLCs), stamping presses, press brake machines, and other manufacturing automation equipment is a plus.
- Competence in using precision measuring instruments like calipers and micrometers for quality control purposes.
- Basic math skills necessary for calculating dimensions, tolerances, and machine settings.
- Factory or warehouse experience emphasizing safety protocols and efficient workflow practices.
- Valid forklift certification is preferred for handling materials within the factory environment.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with a focus on safety, efficiency, and quality assurance in a fast-paced setting. Join our team as a CNC Machine Operator if you’re passionate about precision manufacturing! Bring your mechanical expertise into a collaborative environment where your skills directly impact product excellence.
