CNC Machine Operator – Job Description

Position: CNC Machine Operator Industry: Interior Fit-Out / Carpentry Manufacturing Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced CNC Machine Operator for our interior fit-out manufacturing division. The candidate should have strong knowledge in operating CNC machines for wood and joinery works, including MDF, plywood, laminate, acrylic, and other interior materials. The operator must be able to read drawings, prepare cutting files, and ensure accurate production with quality finishing.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate CNC routing and cutting machines for interior fit-out production.
• Read technical drawings and production details.
• Prepare and load materials such as MDF, plywood, laminate, acrylic, and solid wood.
• Set up tools, machine parameters, and cutting programs.
• Monitor machine operation and ensure accurate cutting quality.
• Perform routine machine cleaning and basic maintenance.
• Coordinate with production, design, and workshop teams.
• Ensure materials are produced as per approved drawings and dimensions.
• Minimize material wastage and maintain productivity.
• Follow workshop safety procedures and company standards.

Requirements

• Minimum 5–8 years of experience as CNC Operator in interior fit-out or joinery industry.
• Experience in operating CNC router machines and woodworking machinery.
• Knowledge of AutoCAD and CNC programming/software preferred.
• Ability to understand technical drawings and cutting layouts.
• Knowledge of materials used in interior fit-out works.
• Good troubleshooting and machine handling skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet production deadlines.

Preferred Skills

• Experience in nesting and optimization software.
• Knowledge of edge banding and other woodworking processes.
• Attention to detail and quality control.
• Team player with good communication skills.
