CNC Machinist

Position Overview:
The CNC machinist will be responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining CNC machines to produce precision parts according to engineering drawings and specifications. The ideal candidate has hands-on experience with CNC lathes and mills, strong attention to detail, and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

Key Responsibilities:

• Set up, program, and operate CNC machines to produce components to exact specifications
• Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and job specifications
• Perform tool changes, offsets, and program adjustments as needed
• Inspect parts using precision measurement tools (calipers, micrometers, gauges)
• Maintain production documentation and quality records
• Troubleshoot machining issues and ensure efficient workflow
• Perform routine maintenance on machines and keep work area clean and organized
• Collaborate with engineering and quality teams when required

Qualifications:

• Minimum 5 years of CNC machine operation experience
• Strong knowledge of G-code, tooling, and machining principles
• Ability to set up machines from scratch (not just operate)
• Ability to hold tight tolerances and work with a variety of materials
• Strong understanding of safety procedures
• Good problem-solving and communication skills

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $26.00 - $40.00 per hour
