A growing manufacturing operation is seeking an experienced CNC Machinist / Setup Operator to support production machining and equipment operations. This role is ideal for candidates with strong CNC programming, setup, and machining experience who thrive in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Program and operate CNC milling machines
• Perform machine setup, tooling changes, and production runs
• Manufacture precision parts according to specifications
• Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and work instructions
• Support production scheduling and workflow efficiency
• Troubleshoot machining and process issues
• Recommend process improvements to reduce waste and improve productivity
• Operate manual mills, lathes, and related shop equipment
• Assist with maintenance and repair of machinery as needed

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of CNC machining experience
• Experience with CNC setup, programming, and machine operation
• Familiarity with HAAS, OKK, or Okuma machines preferred
• Ability to read blueprints and technical drawings
• Understanding of machining safety practices and quality standards
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills
• Ability to work independently and within a team environment
• High school diploma or GED required
• Vocational machining training or equivalent experience preferred

Preferred Skills

• Knowledge of LEAN Manufacturing principles
• Experience with quality control processes and inspection methods
• Basic welding experience is a plus
