Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated CNC Machinist to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for operating, setting up, and programming CNC (Computer Numerical Control) machines to produce precision parts and components. Your expertise in machining processes, blueprint reading, and technical software will be essential to ensure high-quality production standards are met. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work with advanced manufacturing equipment and contribute to innovative projects in a fast-paced environment.

Duties

  • Operate CNC milling machines and CNC lathes, primarily using Hurco Okuma & Maak controls, to produce complex parts with precision.
  • Read and interpret detailed blueprints, technical drawings, and GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing) specifications to ensure accurate machining.
  • Program CNC machines using CAM (Computer-Aided Manufacturing) software and write or modify CNC code for various projects.
  • Set up tooling, fixtures, and workpieces efficiently while adhering to safety protocols and quality standards.
  • Use precision measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, bore gauges, and coordinate measuring machines (CMM) to verify dimensions and tolerances.
  • Perform routine maintenance on CNC equipment , tooling, or machine operation.
  • Support lean manufacturing initiatives by optimizing machining processes, reducing waste, and improving cycle times.
  • Assist with assembly tasks, welding, or as needed to support production workflows.
  • Maintain detailed documentation of machine setups, inspections, and production logs for quality control purposes.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience operating CNC machinery such as CNC milling machines and CNC lathes in a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong knowledge of CNC programming languages (G-code), CAM programming tools, and SolidWorks or CAD software for design interpretation.
  • Expertise in blueprint reading, GD&T principles, and mechanical knowledge necessary for precise machining.
  • Ability to use precision measuring instruments including calipers, micrometers, bore gauges, and coordinate measuring machines accurately.
  • Basic math skills for calculating dimensions, tolerances, and machine offsets; experience with lean manufacturing practices is a plus.
  • Physical ability to stand for extended periods; capable of lifting heavy materials or equipment when required.
  • Join our team as a CNC Machinist if you thrive in a fast-moving environment where your technical skills make a real impact! We value precision craftsmanship combined with innovative problem-solving — together we’ll build the future of manufacturing excellence!
