Machinist

We are seeking a CNC Machinist to grow with us for our first and second shift operations. Hours will be 6:00am-4:30pm Mon-Thursday (Day shift), with overtime on Fridays as directed. While reporting to the Machine Shop Supervisor under limited supervision, you will setup and operate Vertical CNC mills and lathes, inspect parts using standard precision measuring equipment. Specific responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Setup CNC mills and lathes
• Swiss experience is a plus
• Mazak or other dual spindle machine experience a plus
• Press Brake is a plus
• Water Jet Experience is a plus
• Load and unload parts
• Set tool lengths and offsets
• Monitor and maintain tooling
• Read blueprints
• Produce and inspect parts per product specifications
• Confers with engineers, production personnel, programmers, or others to resolve machining and assembly problems.
• Selects, aligns, and secures holding fixtures, cutting tools, attachments, accessories, and materials on machines such as mills, lathes, jig borers, grinders, and shapers.
• Manages machining factors such as speed, feed, coolant flow, or enters commands to retrieve, input, or edit computerized machine control media.
• Verifies conformance of finished part to specifications.
• Qualifications:
• High School diploma or GED
• Minimum 5 years experience of milling setup of three, four, and five axis lathes.
• 4-8 years of experience setting up and operating CNC equipment in a machine shop
• Ability to interface with CNC machine controls
• Ability to regularly lift and or move up to 50 pounds
• Swiss experience a plus
