Overview
We are seeking a skilled CNC Machinist to join our manufacturing team. The successful candidate will be responsible for operating and maintaining CNC machines to produce high-quality components, primarily working with metal and plastic materials. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with a strong mechanical background and experience in precision machining, aiming to contribute to innovative projects within a dynamic environment.
Responsibilities
- Set up, operate and monitor CNC machines, including milling and turning, ensuring precise production according to technical drawings and specifications.
- Interpret CAD and SolidWorks files to programme and adjust machine operations effectively.
- Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting on CNC machinery to minimise downtime.
- Utilise hand tools, power tools and tooling equipment for assembly, fitting and finishing processes.
- Conduct quality checks on machined parts using basic math skills and measurement tools to ensure adherence to tolerances.
- Maintain a clean and organised work environment in compliance with health and safety standards.
Requirements
- Proven experience in CNC machining, including milling and turning.
- Proficiency in reading technical drawings, CAD files and SolidWorks models.
- Mechanical knowledge of machining processes.
- Strong understanding of safety procedures within a manufacturing setting.
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Relevant qualifications or certifications in machining or mechanical engineering are advantageous.
Pay: £25,000.00-£30,000.00 per year
