Pay: £15 - £20 per hour

Hours: Monday – Friday (40 hours)

Job Purpose: To program, set, and operate CNC machines efficiently and effectively in the production of high-quality doors and door components, ensuring all production requirements are completed in a timely fashion as set by the management team, delivering maximum efficiency and operational excellence in meeting all customer requirements.

Responsibilities of a CNC Machinist:

• Set up, programme, and operate 3- and 5-axis CNC wood machines (Xilog Plus/X-Door desirable).
• Work to production specifications, completing all paperwork accurately and on time.
• Check and verify components before and during machining, carrying out ongoing QC checks.
• Prepare materials for machining (cutting, sanding, priming, and sorting components as needed).
• Identify and clearly mark acceptable materials and any machining errors for downstream teams.
• Maintain equipment and systems (including LEV) and maximise machine efficiency by reducing downtime.
• Report issues promptly and maintain a clean, safe workspace in line with H&S procedures.

Skills and Experience Required:

• Operate and programme 3–5 axis CNC machines for timber door production.
• Drive efficiency by identifying improvements to performance, quality, and cost.
• Support site operations, including goods intake and following reporting processes.
• Follow team leader direction and maintain safe, compliant working practices (forklift licence a plus).
