CNC Machinist

General Description of Position: The job requires the ability to learn to perform the duties of a CNC Machining Operator and follow written instructions and read blueprint specifications or equivalent. This role understands how to adjust semi-automatic or automatic numerically controlled machine tools to perform standard and repetitive sequences of operations where programs are provided. Requires knowledge of operations include drilling, boring and milling, turning, etc., employing recognized tooling and procedures and is able to maintain close tolerances. Verify and document parts for conformance to specifications after any adjustments are made to ensure product quality.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Capable of complex set ups on horizontal, vertical, and CNC Lathe machines and has the ability to build precision finished parts to specified tolerances.

2. Proficient using Fanuc, Okuma, & Mazak controls.

3. All functions of a CNC Machinist.

4. Experience and ability to program machines using CAM systems.

5. Responsible for cutting tool assemblies and maintenance.

6. Understanding of CNC fixturing, functioning and fit.

7. Competent in G code programming and edit programs as needed.

8. Maintain basic maintenance on machine.

9. Capable of understanding complex blueprints.

10. Competent in shop mathematics.

11.Able to communicate with programmers on issues or improvements needed.

12. Perform any other related duties as required or assigned.

Candidate must have knowledge of a specialized field, however acquired, computer, etc. Equivalent of four years in high school and specialized training having a machining certificate or associates degree with a minimum of 2 years related machining experience.·

We are ITAR (International Traffic in Arms Regulations) certified, therefore all applicants must be a U.S. Person or eligible to obtain necessary export authorizations required.
