Seeking a motivated and skilled CNC Machinist to join our fabrication team building custom filtration equipment, from the ground up, for the food and pharmaceutical industries.
Summary:
We are seeking a skilled CNC Machinist with 2–4 years of hands-on experience operating CNC machines in a precision manufacturing environment. The ideal candidate will be capable of interpreting complex engineering drawings, accurately measuring machined parts, and making real-time adjustments to machine settings to ensure consistent product quality.
Responsibilities:
- Operate and monitor CNC machines (mills, lathes, or multi-axis) to produce precision components according to engineering specifications.
- Read and interpret detailed blueprints, technical drawings, and work orders.
- Perform in-process inspections using calipers, micrometers, gauges, and other precision measuring tools to ensure part conformance.
- Make offset adjustments and minor program edits as needed to maintain dimensional accuracy.
- Set up tooling, fixtures, and materials for efficient workflow.
- Troubleshoot machining issues and communicate effectively with supervisors and engineering when necessary.
- Maintain clean and safe working conditions according to company policies and OSHA standards.
- Document work performed and inspection results as required.
Essential Qualifications:
- Experience: 2–4 years of CNC machining experience in a production or job-shop environment.
- Skills:
- Proficient in using precision measurement instruments.
- Strong ability to read and understand complex engineering drawings and tolerances (GD&T a plus).
- Knowledge of G-code and M-code; capable of making program adjustments.
- Solid mechanical aptitude and attention to detail.
- Physical Requirements: Must be able to stand for prolonged periods throughout the shift.
- Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs as needed.
- Manual dexterity and ability to work with hand tools and machine controls.
- Ability to work in a manufacturing environment with exposure to machine noise, metal shavings, and lubricants.
- Education: High school diploma or GED required;
Desirable Qualifications:
- Technical training or certification in CNC machining preferred.
