The Role
We are seeking a skilled Machinist to operate and maintain CNC and manual machines to produce high-precision parts and components. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy and quality of parts, troubleshooting machinery issues, and maintaining a safe and efficient work environment.
Key Responsibilities

Set up, programme and operate CNC and manual machines (core duties would be Milling machine and Mecal Machining Centre.) according to technical drawings and specifications.

Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and work instructions.

Monitor and adjust machine settings to ensure quality and efficiency.

Perform routine maintenance on machinery and tools.

Inspect parts for quality control, ensuring that all parts meet the required tolerances.

Troubleshoot and resolve any machine or tooling issues.

Maintain a clean and safe work environment in compliance with company safety standards.

Collaborate with engineers and production team members to optimize processes and improve workflow.
Key Skills / Qualifications

Proven experience as a machinist with proficiency in CNC and manual machine operation and an engineering background / qualification.

Strong understanding of machine shop mathematics, blueprints, and measuring instruments.

Ability to use precision measurement tools such as calipers, micrometers, and dial indicators.

Experience with various materials such as metals, plastics, and composites.

Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

Strong commitment to safety and quality standards.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
