CNC Machinist

Job Summary:

Setup and operate CNC machinery such as, but not limited to:

• ProtoTrak Lathes
• ProtoTrak Milling Machines
• Haas Milling Machines
• Multi axis CNC lathes
• Conventional CNC lathes
• Swiss Screw machines

Job Responsibilities:

• Setup and operate CNC machinery
• Change offsets and tools as necessar
• Machine parts, de-bur, load and clean parts
• Provide shop support as needed
• Keep CNC running at all times
• Change tools when worn out
• Editing CNC programs as needed
• Maintain CNC Machinery according to maintenance schedules
• Communicate all concerns, issues, problems, etc. directly to Production Manager
• Inspect parts from initial set up, maintain inspection reports, reorder tooling, maintain equipment
• Occasionally operating Manual Machining equipment such as Bridgeport & Lathe

Qualifications & Skills:

• High school diploma or equivalent required, vocational schooling or apprentice training is preferred
• Knowledge of Milling, Lathe, and Swiss Screw Machine CNC controls
• Basic G-code understanding
• Use of measuring tools
• Ability to handle bar stock
• Basic computer skills

Environment:

• Climate controlled facilities with A/C, heat, and filtered air.

Physical Demands:

• Required to stand, bend, and lift up to 50lbs.

Pay: $27.00 - $38.00 per hour
