Position Summary
The Machinist II CNC Machinist / Programmer is responsible for setup, machining, and programming in a job‑shop environment. This role requires the ability to create, edit, and troubleshoot CNC programs, optimize machining processes, and support less‑experienced machinists.
Key Responsibilities
- Independently set up and operate CNC mills and/or lathes
- Create, edit, and troubleshoot CNC programs
- Perform at‑machine programming and/or CAM programming
- Optimize tooling, feeds, speeds, and machining strategies
- Machine precision parts from Copper, Steel, and Aluminum
- Interpret complex prints and GD&T
- Troubleshoot machining and programming issues
- Support and mentor Machinist I team members
- Ensure efficiency, consistency, and part quality
Required Qualifications
- 2-4+ years of CNC machining experience
- Proven CNC programming experience (at machine or CAM)
- Strong understanding of G‑code fundamentals
- Job shop experience with frequent changeovers
- Ability to hold tight tolerances
- Advanced measuring and inspection skills
Preferred
- CAM experience (Fusion 360, Mastercam, or similar)
- Fixture setup and process development experience**Position Summary**
