CNC Milling Operator

We are looking for a skilled CNC Milling Operator to manufacture and repair precision components used in marine vessels, offshore equipment, and ship maintenance operations. The candidate will be responsible for operating CNC milling machines, interpreting technical drawings, and ensuring all machined parts meet marine engineering standards and specifications.

Key Responsibilities

  • Set up and operate CNC milling machines.
  • Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and technical specifications.
  • Select and install appropriate cutting tools, fixtures, and materials.
  • Monitor machining operations and adjust machine settings to maintain accuracy and quality.
  • Perform machine calibration, routine maintenance, and cleaning.
  • Identify machining defects and troubleshoot minor machine or tooling issues.
  • Ensure compliance with marine industry standards, safety regulations, and quality procedures.
  • Maintain production records, inspection reports, and job documentation.
  • Coordinate with supervisors, engineers, and maintenance teams to meet production schedules and repair deadlines.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or technical certification in Mechanical Engineering, Machining, or related field.
  • Proven experience as a CNC Milling Operator, preferably in marine, shipyard, offshore, or heavy engineering industries.
  • Ability to read and understand marine engineering drawings and technical manuals.
  • Knowledge of CNC milling machine operations, tooling, and machining techniques.
  • Familiarity with stainless steel, aluminum, bronze, and other marine-grade materials.
  • Experience using precision measuring instruments and quality inspection methods.
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet repair or production deadlines.

Preferred Skills

  • Experience working in shipyards, marine workshops, or offshore facilities.
  • Knowledge of marine equipment repair and fabrication processes.
  • Understanding of workplace safety standards in marine and industrial environments.

Working Conditions

  • Shipyard, marine workshop, or offshore industrial environment.
  • May require overtime, shift work, or emergency repair support.
