Key Responsibilities – CNC Machine Operation & Manufacturing Precision

Set up, operate, and monitor CNC machines to produce components to exacting specifications, maintaining the highest standards of quality and consistency.

Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and technical diagrams to define machining requirements and part dimensions.

Perform routine maintenance and safety checks on CNC machinery and equipment, ensuring safe work practices are always followed.

Inspect and measure finished parts using precision measuring tools, recording and reporting deviations from specifications where necessary.

Adjust machine settings, tooling, and offsets as required to optimise production output and achieve engineering tolerances.
Required Skills – CNC Machining, Manufacturing & Engineering

Previous experience operating CNC machines within manufacturing, engineering, or automotive environments is highly advantageous.

Strong understanding of technical drawings, geometric tolerances, and machining principles.

Competence in using measuring tools such as callipers, micrometers, and gauges for part inspection.

Ability to identify, troubleshoot, and resolve routine machine and process issues independently.

Basic knowledge of machine programming (e.g., G-code) or willingness to learn.

Excellent attention to detail, with a commitment to maintaining a clean and organised work area.

Effective communication skills for working in a team-based environment.
Qualifications & Experience – CNC Operator Role

Relevant vocational qualification (e.g., NVQ, City & Guilds, BTEC) in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing, or a related field preferred.

Experience working with CNC lathes, mills, or multi-axis machines is an advantage.

Strong record of safe working practices and adherence to workplace health and safety standards.
