Job Summary: CNC Operator -
We are seeking a skilled CNC Operator to join our manufacturing team at Dixon Custom Cabinetry. The primary responsibilities of a CNC Operator are focused on performing the setup, operation and maintenance of a CNC panel router.
More specifically, the CNC Operator will be responsible for uploading pattern codes to the CNC panel router, selecting and loading materials with a forklift onto the machine worktable, as well as ordering/offloading/tracking CNC-cut parts, preparing parts for assembly and transporting both materials and parts around the production floor.
This position will also require daily operation of Forklift to unload orders from delivery trucks as they arrive periodically.
* This position requires a very detail-oriented person that is self-motivated and can work safely, efficiently and independently.
The ideal candidate will possess strong mechanical aptitude, technical skills, and a dedication to manufacturing excellence.
Duties and Qualifications
Proven experience operating CNC machine.
Proficiency in CNC programming using CAD software; experience preferred.
Operate CNC Panel Router machines, and other machining equipment with precision and efficiency.
Program CNC machines using CAD (Computer-Aided Design), and CNC programming software.
Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings to ensure accurate production.
Set up tooling, fixtures, and materials handling equipment such as forklifts for smooth workflow.
Perform routine maintenance on CNC machinery to ensure optimal performance.
Use precision measuring instruments like calipers and micrometers to verify dimensions and quality of machined parts.
Basic math skills necessary for measurements and calculations related to machining tasks.
Collaborate with fabrication, assembly line, and quality control teams to meet production deadlines.
Strong mechanical knowledge of manufacturing processes, tooling, and fabrication techniques.
Knowledge of factory safety protocols and warehouse materials handling procedures.
Maintain a clean and organized work environment adhering to safety standards.
Prior factory or manufacturing facility experience is highly desirable.

Our standard work week is 40 hours, but overtime hours (time-and-a-half) will occasionally be required. This is a morning position with a starting time of 6 am.
You must be a very punctual person to be a good fit into this position.
*Our normal work-week is Four (4) Ten (10) hour days.
* If you are not a “morning person” this position is probably NOT for you.
* We are looking for a top-notch employee with thorough hands-on experience, positive, self-motivated and a customer-oriented individual.
* Required experience: Previous CNC Experience, Forklift-Warehouse, Manufacturing or Production Floor: 1 year
*Required license or certification: Driver's License; Some Forklift experience, required
*A working knowledge of the English language is required.
*Must have a valid Social Security Number and a valid/current NC driver's license.
