CNC Set up (Lathe or Mill)

Seeking an experienced CNC setup professional to join our precision machining team. This role is ideal for individuals who thrive on technical challenges and take pride in producing high-quality, close-tolerance components.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate CNC lathes or mills
• Read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings
• Verify dimensions using micrometers, indicators, and optical comparators
• Perform routine maintenance and troubleshoot equipment issues
• Collaborate with team members to optimize production and uphold safety standards

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years’ CNC setup experience
• Expertise with complex parts and tolerances as tight as ±0.0005″
• Proficiency with Fanuc controls
• Strong fixturing and tooling selection knowledge
• Programming skills (Mastercam or Esprit preferred)
• Ability to operate manual mills and lathes
• Strong troubleshooting skills (electrical, mechanical, hydraulic)

Equipment & Capabilities

• CNC Lathes: Swiss screw machines with cross milling/drilling, sub-spindle, turret & gang-tool setups

• Part sizes: 1mm (0.0394″) to 152.4mm (6″) diameter

• CNC Mills: Horizontal & vertical machining centers with touch probes

• Part sizes: 12.7×12.7mm (0.500”×0.500”) to 508×508mm (20”×20”)
