Job Summary

We are looking for a highly skilled and detail-oriented CNC Operator cum Programmer to join our precision manufacturing division. The ideal candidate will be responsible for programming, setting up, and operating CNC machines to fabricate precision components used in geospatial instruments and related systems.

Key Responsibilities

  • Program, set up, and operate CNC milling and turning machines based on technical drawings and CAD models.
  • Interpret and analyze engineering blueprints, schematics, and job orders.
  • Generate CNC programs using G-code and CAM software (e.g., Mastercam, Fusion 360, SolidCAM).
  • Select appropriate tools, cutting parameters, and work-holding fixtures.
  • Conduct in-process inspections using measuring tools (micrometers, vernier calipers, dial gauges, etc.) to ensure dimensional accuracy.
  • Perform adjustments and offsets to maintain tolerances within required specifications.
  • Maintain machine tools and conduct routine maintenance to ensure optimal operation.
  • Collaborate with design and engineering teams to resolve machining or design-related issues.
  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, and quality control standards.
  • Maintain detailed records of programming changes, production logs, and quality checks.

Requirements

  • Diploma / ITI / Technical Certificate in Mechanical Engineering, Tool & Die Making, or a related field.
  • Minimum 2–5 years of experience in CNC programming and machine operation.
  • Solid understanding of G-code, M-code, and CNC machining processes.
  • Proficient in CAD/CAM software such as Mastercam, Fusion 360, or equivalent.
  • Ability to read and interpret complex engineering drawings and GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing).
  • Familiarity with materials used in precision engineering (e.g., aluminum, stainless steel, engineering plastics).
  • Good communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience working in ISO 9001-certified environments is a plus.
