Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled CNC Machinist to join our manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for setting up, programming, and operating CNC machines to produce precision parts in accordance with engineering specifications. This role requires a strong understanding of machining processes, blueprint reading, and the use of precision measuring instruments. The CNC Machinist will contribute to maintaining high-quality standards and efficient production workflows within a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities :

CNC Experience

  • 4+ years hands-on CNC machining, including programming and setup (Haas mills strongly preferred).
  • Comfortable with 3-axis and 4/5-axis workholding, setup, and operation.

Programming & CAM

  • Proficient in CAM (Fusion 360, Mastercam, or similar) for toolpaths, posts, and simulation.
  • Able to read/modify G-code at the control and troubleshoot programs on the machine.

Fixturing & Workholding

  • Strong fixturing skills, including soft jaws, modular vises, and custom fixtures.
  • Experience planning setups for low-volume, high-mix parts and repeatable production.

Materials, Processes & Additive

  • Primary experience in aluminum; capable with steel, stainless, cast iron, and occasional other alloys/plastics.
  • Experience performing secondary ops on laser-cut and flat-stock parts (facing, drilling, tapping, surfacing).
  • Knowledge and competency in FDM/SLA 3D printing for fixtures, guards, and prototype tooling.

Print Reading & Quality

  • Strong print reading and GD&T literacy; comfortable holding tight tolerances and surface finish requirements.
  • Experience with basic inspection tools (calipers, micrometers, bore gauges, height gauges) and first-article checks.

Shop & Process Ownership

  • Willingness to help define and improve CNC standards, tooling libraries, setup sheets, and workflows.
  • Strong communication, ability to work with engineers and fabricators, and comfort in a fast-paced, startup environment.

Pay: $60,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year
