Job Summary
The co-Director of our Christian Tutoring & Learning Center partners with the Director to provide leadership, vision, and operational oversight for a church-based educational program serving elementary through high school students, as well as lifelong learners. This role combines program development, staff and volunteer supervision, family engagement, and mission-driven leadership rooted in the values of the church.
The co-Director shares responsibility for day-to-day operations while helping expand high quality academic support, enrichment, and lifelong learning opportunities in a welcoming, faith-centered environment. This role is initially a part time position with the potential of becoming a full-time position.
Duties
- Lead the design and continuous improvement of curriculum tailored to various age groups and learning needs, incorporating best practices in early childhood education, special education, and adult learning.
- Oversee the recruitment, training, and supervision of tutoring staff, ensuring high-quality instruction across all programs.
- Manage the integration of learning technology tools to enhance teaching effectiveness and student engagement.
- Coordinate scheduling for tutoring sessions, workshops, and classroom activities while maintaining a welcoming environment for children and adults alike.
- Foster a collaborative team culture focused on professional growth, innovation in teaching methods, and exceptional learner support.
Skills
- Expertise in curriculum development across all age groups, classroom management, and adult education environments.
- Strong knowledge of learning technology platforms and digital tools for instruction and assessment.
- Proven experience in tutoring, teaching diverse populations.
- Excellent communication skills to effectively engage with students of all ages, parents, staff, and community partners.
- Ability to manage classrooms effectively while creating an inclusive atmosphere conducive to learning.
- Experience in lesson planning tailored to individual learner needs across different age groups.
- Recruit, train, supervise and support tutors and teachers as well as volunteers.
- Build strong relationships with students, parents, and teachers.
- Address concerns or challenges with professionalism, care, and confidentiality.
- Help create a safe, inclusive, and encouraging learning environment.
- Support day to day operation of the learning center.
- Assist with record keeping, reporting, and payroll.
- Collaborate on budget planning, tuition fee structures, and fundraising
- Serve as a liaison between church leadership and educational center.
- Represent the learning center at church events and community outreach opportunities.
- Support marketing and outreach efforts to grown enrollment and participation.

Pay: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour
